Marek comes from Sokolov and he studied at the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague, where he obtained his M.A. degree in 2017.
Marek has been an attorney at law since 2020.
During his studies, he completed an annual study program at the Law Faculty of Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, in the Netherlands, where he studied European Law, Competition Law, Company Law and Public Procurement Law.
Before joining the law firm KAROLAS Legal, Marek worked at the largest Czech law firm Havel & Partners, where he specialised in providing legal services in the public sector.
In the public sector Marek focuses mainly on:
preparation of partial legal statements;
advising and supporting suppliers in the preparation of tenders, representation in procurement procedures and in concluding contracts with contracting authorities;
advice on the representation of contracting authorities and suppliers in proceedings before the Office for the Protection of Competition and in any subsequent judicial proceedings;
advising on European subsidies, both in terms of preparation and control of the projects implanted, and in representing the beneficiaries before the audit authorities.
